A	nǐ men de shīn wū dzēn kuān tzànɡ ， jiā sī sī yě hěn piào liɑnɡ 。 huā yuán dà mɑ ？	你們的新屋真寬暢，家私俬也很漂亮。花園大嗎？	Your new house is very big, and the furniture is beautiful too. How about your garden?
B	ō ， hòu miàn de yuàn dsi bú suàn shiǎo ， tzú le yǒu liǎnɡ kē pínɡ ɡwǒ szù jiòu szén me dōu méi yǒu le 。	噢，後面的院子不算小，除了有兩棵蘋果樹就什麼都沒有了。	Ao, the back garden is quite big, but only two apple trees there.
A	nà kě yào hǎo hǎo měi huà yí shià 。 nǐ shǐ huɑn dzénɡ lǐ huā yuán mɑ ？	那可要好好美化一下。你喜歡整理花園嗎？	That means you should do something to beautify it. Do you like gardening?
B	bié szwō huā yuán ， dsài shiānɡ ɡǎnɡ lián huā dōu méi dzǒnɡ ɡwò 。 nǐ dōu dzī liǎo ， shiānɡ ɡǎnɡ dào tzù szì ɡāo lóu ， nà yǒu dì fɑnɡ dzònɡ huā 。	別說花園，在香港連花都沒種過。你都知了，香港到處是高樓，那有地方種花。	Don’t say garden I never plant flowers when I lived in HK. Only see high buildings standing everywhere there.
A	szì de ， shiānɡ ɡǎnɡ dì szǎo rén dwō ， dàn dzè lǐ szì dì dwō rén szǎo dzènɡ shiānɡ fǎn 。	是的，香港地少人多，但這裡是地多人少正相反。	Yes, HK is small place with a large number of people, but NZ is opposite.
B	wǒ jiàn dào ， dwō szù lín jū de huā yuán dōu hěn měi ， kě wǒ dueì dzònɡ huā yí chiào bù tōnɡ 。	我見到，多數鄰居的花園都很美，可我對種花一竅不通。	I found most of my neighbours’ who have a beautiful garden, but I know nothing about garden.
A	nǐ ké yǐ shué mɑ 。 wǒ bān jìn wǒ shiàn dsài dzù de fánɡ dsi szí ， fánɡ chián fánɡ hòu dzǒnɡ de dōu szì tǔ dòu 。	你可以學嘛。我搬進我現在住的房子時，房前房後種的都是土豆。	You can learn. I only found many potatoes when I just moved in my house.
B	dàn chù nǐ jiā ， jiàn nǐ yǒu bù szǎo huā yɑ 。	但去你家，見你有不少花呀。	But I saw many flowers when I visited you last time.
A	szwō lái nǐ kě nénɡ bú shìn ， wǒ nà shiǎo dì fɑnɡ yě yǒu szí dwō dzònɡ huā ne 。	說來你可能不信，我那小地方也有十多種花呢。	You might not believe, I have over 10 kinds of flowers in my small garden.
B	dōu szì szén me huā ？	都是什麼花？	What flowers do you have?
A	dzè nǐ kě kǎo dào wǒ le ， wǒ dzǐ szì shuǎn huā hǎo kàn ， kě tsónɡ bù lióu yīn lióu yì tā men de mínɡ dsǐ 。	這你可考到我了，我只是選花好看，可從不留音留意它們的名子。	You let me embarrassed really. I only pick beautiful flowers up but never pay attention to the name of them.
B	szì dsì jǐ dzǒnɡ de hái szì …	是自己種的還是…	Do you plant yourself or…
A	wǒ dōu szì mǎi lái de pén tsái 。 wǒ děnɡ bù dé hěn tzánɡ szí tsái jiàn dào huā 。	我都是買來的盆裁。我等不得很長時才見到花。	Usually I buy potted plant. I can’t wait to see the flower for a long time.
B	nà bú szì hěn fèi chián ？	那不是很費錢？	Do you spend much on it?
A	kàn nǐ shuǎn szén me pín dzǒnɡ le 。 wǒ dzǐ shuǎn yán sè ， dsài ɡǎn szànɡ tzú lǐ jià ， yì diǎn dōu bú ɡueì 。	看你選什麼品種了。我只選顏色，再趕上處理價，一點都不貴。	That depends on what flowers you picked. I only choose the colour. Some of them are not dear when they are on special.
B	nà dào dōnɡ jì dsěn me bàn ？	那到冬季怎麼辦？	How about in winter?
A	dōnɡ jì huā szì szǎo yì shiē ， dàn nǐ kě shuǎn shiē huā huā chī tzánɡ de ， szèn dzì ké yǐ ɡwò dōnɡ de 。	冬季花是少一些，但你可選些花花期長的，甚至可以過冬的。	No much flowers in winter that is sure. But some plants have   long blooming period even they can live in winter.
B	yǒu kōnɡ nǐ jiāo jiāo wǒ 。 szì bu szì yào huā hěn dwō szí jiān yɑ ？	有空你教教我。是不是要花很多時間呀？	When you have time please teach me. Does it need much time?
A	dānɡ rán yào huā shiē szí jiān ， dàn dānɡ nǐ jiàn dào huā kāi jiòu wànɡ le shīn kǔ 。	當然要花些時間，但當你見到花開就忘了辛苦。	Of course you have to spend time for it, but when you see the beautiful flowers you forgot you have work hard.
B	dzēn de ？	真的？	Really?
A	bú shìn nǐ szì szì kàn 。 kuànɡ chiě dzénɡ lǐ hé měi huà huā yuán szì niǒu shī lán jiā tínɡ szēnɡ hwó de yí bù fen 。	不信你試試看。況且整理和美化花園是紐西蘭家庭生活的一部分。	You know after you try. Additional, making garden tidy and more beautiful is part   of housework of a family in NZ.
B	tīnɡ nǐ dzè me yì szwō ， mínɡ tiān jiòu bǎ   hòu biān de dì szī yí shià ， dzōu mò jiòu chù mǎi huā 。 nǐ kě yào péi wǒ chù 。	聽你這麼一說，明天就把 後邊的地濕一下，周末就去買花。你可要陪我去。	As you pointed I water the soil in the back garden tomorrow, and I’ll buy flowers on Sunday. You must go with me.
B	dzōu rì szànɡ wǔ dsěn me yànɡ ？ shià wǔ wǒ yǒu pénɡ you lái 。	周日上午怎麼樣？下午我有朋友來。	Sunday morning is OK? I have a visitor in the afternoon.
A	yì yán wéi dìnɡ ， wǒ děnɡ nǐ 。	一言為定，我等你。	Sure. I’m waiting for you.
