3 Monarch Butterfly 大蝴蝶

A	kàn ， yǒu liǎnɡ szuānɡ dà hú dié 。	看，有兩雙大蝴蝶。	Look! There are two big butterflies.
B	dzēn de ， dzēn hǎo kàn 。 dzè hé dān sè shiǎo hú dié fēi tzánɡ bù tónɡ 。	真的，真好看。這和單色小蝴蝶非常不同。	Truly! How beautiful. They are different from the single colour butterflies.

B	dzè szù yǒu huā mɑ ？	這樹有花嗎？	Are there flowers on this tree?
A	méi kàn jiàn ɡwò 。 dào szì ɡuà dze bù szǎo máo mɑo tzónɡ hé yǒnɡ 。	沒看見過。倒是掛着不少毛毛蟲和蛹。	I never see, but I found many caterpillars and pupas.
B	yǒnɡ ？	蛹？	Pupas?
A	szì yɑ ， tā men szì máo mɑo tzónɡ biàn lái de 。	是呀，它們是毛毛蟲變來的。	They were become from the caterpillars.
B	nǐ szwō le yí dà dueī ， hái méi szwō dào hú dié nà. 。	你說了一大堆，還沒說到蝴蝶那.。	You explained a lot you still don’t say the butterflies yet.
A	bié mánɡ ， nà dzè shiē yǒnɡ dsài nà ɡuà szànɡ dà yuē liǎnɡ ɡè shīnɡ jiòu yǒu hú dié lù shù dì fēi tzū lái le 。	別忙，那這些蛹在那掛上大約兩個星就有蝴蝶陸續地飛出來了。	Don’t hurry! Those pupas hang on the tree for about two weeks, and than the butterflies fly out one after another.
B	nà szì szén me szù yɑ ？	那是什麼樹呀？	What is the tree about?
A	wǒ nà jū ɡào su wǒ ， tā jiào “ tiān é szù ” ，   tā szì dà hú dié dsueì hǎo de szí pǐn ， yě szì tā men sā dsǐ de dì fɑnɡ 。	我那居告訴我，它叫“天鵝樹”， 它是大蝴蝶最好的食品，也是它們撒籽的地方。	My neighbour told me it is called “swan”. It is the best food for butterflies. Its leaf are the place where butterflies scatter eggs on the leaf.
B	dzēn yǒu chù 。 kàn lái dà hú dié bǎ dzè szù kàn tzénɡ szì tā men de jiā le 。	真有趣。看來大蝴蝶把這樹看成是它們的家了。	It is interesting! That means the butterflies see the tree like their home.
A	nǐ szwō de yǒu dào lǐ 。 nà shiē dsǐ jīnɡ ɡwò 5-14 tiān jiòu biàn tzénɡ shiǎo máo mɑo tzónɡ le 。	你說的有道理。那些籽經過5-14天就變成小毛毛蟲了。	You are right. After 5-14days those caterpillars will become caterpillars.

A	wǒ yě szì 。 tā men tzī dzè szù yè tzánɡ de hěn kuài ， hái bú duàn de twō pí jiòu tzénɡ le yǒnɡ ɡuà dsài szù szànɡ 。	我也是。它們吃這樹葉長的很快，還不斷的脫皮就成了蛹掛在樹上。	Me too. The caterpillars grow up quickly with eating the leaf. They often change their skin and become  pupas hanging on the tree.
B	nà szén me szí hou tzū lái hú dié ne ？	那什麼時候出來蝴蝶呢？	When the butterflies fly out?
A	tsónɡ máo mɑo tzónɡ dào yǒnɡ yuē shū yào sān ɡè shīnɡ chī ， dzè yǒnɡ hái yào ɡuà liǎnɡ ɡè shīnɡ chī 。	從毛毛蟲到蛹約需要三個星期，這蛹還要掛兩個星期。	It takes about 3 weeks for a caterpillar to become a pupa, and the pupa hangs on the tree for about 2weeks.
