箴 箴是会意字，也是形声字。竹为形符；咸为声符。《说文》注：“缀衣针也。从竹，咸声。”箴为缝衣之竹针，后改金属制造即为鍼。作动词，指规劝、告诫。作名词，指箴言。

进入青铜器时代，金针代替了竹箴。
针 针即箴。《说文》注：“箴，缀衣箴也。从竹,咸声。”古无冶炼技术时，人们以竹为针。冶炼技术昌盛后，缀衣之针乃以金属为之。《说文》又注：“鍼，所以缝也。从金，咸声。”鍼为缝衣物之工具，今一般写作针。引申针对、针刺、针炙、针织等。
