医   甲骨文象古代针刺治病之形,即为"医"字。篆书加酉、殳二字，成为"醫"字。《说文》注：“治病工也。医之性然，得酒而使，从酉。酒，所以治病也。《周礼》有医酒。古者巫彭初作医。”医指医生(治病工)，为人治病之人。酒是用以治病。《周礼·天官·酒正》上就记载有医为酒，人所辨四饮之一。古时候皇帝之大臣巫彭最早行医，由此可知中国医药学之历史已近五千年。医既指医生，又指医治，泛指防治疾病之科学或工作。
