厌   厭是形声字。厂为形符；猒为声符肉符（含 ）。《说文》注“笮也。一曰合也。从厂，猒声。”厌是笮，即房屋之箔。另一说为适合、切合。又借用为厌恶字，形容枯索无味而反感。引申厌倦、憎恶、嫌弃。
