他 他是会意字。人为形符；它为意符。《说文》注：“它，虫也。从虫而长，象冤曲垂尾形。上古草居患它，故相问：无它乎（论何切）”。《诗经》：“他人有心，予忖度之。”他（它）本指蛇。上古时代人们居于草丛之地，怕蛇危害，常相问：“有它吗”。后广泛假借为第三人称代词。他（它）又指另外的、别的。现代书面语中，一般用指男性。
