立   甲骨文立与位同为一字。象人站立于地上之形。《说文》注：“住也。从大,立一之上。”徐铉注：“大，人也。一，地也。”立是站立，物体之直立，又指建筑物之设立或建立。引申生存、存在、成立，、订立、竖立、树立、又引申即刻、立即。近代又指立体、立方、立交桥等。
