禾-10 稷

稷   甲骨文象人跪于禾谷前祈祷之形。会崇奉谷神之意。故有社稷之称。《说文》注：“粢也。五谷之长。从禾，畟声。”稷即粢、谷子，古亦称粟。一说为高梁。
