便   便是会意字。人为形符；更为意符。《说文》注：“安也。人有不便，更之。从人、更。”便即更改，使之安适、适宜。人有不便之处，便更改之。此处指方便之便。作形容词，指适宜、方便、简单、非正式等。作名词则有大便、小便之称。
